Cheryl Champagne, DPT, COMT
Cheryl Champagne specializes in manual therapy of the spine and extremities. She is the Clinic Director of Maryland SportsCare & Rehab's Frederick location, which gives her responsibility for day-to-day operations in addition to treating patients. She received her title as a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist in July of 2009 from the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine, making her specially trained in medical screening, anatomy, pathoanatomy of the spine, and joint and soft tissue mechanics, and an expert in the musculoskeletal system.
Cheryl graduated in 2002 with her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton. She worked in a rural health care setting in Wyoming before moving back to the East Coast to work for Maryland SportsCare and Rehab in 2006. She is currently studying and training with Dry Needling, the use of solid needles for therapy of muscle pain.
