David Benzing MPT, ATC
Director of Sports Rehabilitation and Clinical Director

David Benzing is Maryland SportsCare & Rehab's director of sports rehabilitation, a position that requires him to oversee all capacities of athletic rehabilitation programs in the facility. David has over twelve years experience in physical therapy specializing in total joint replacement and sports medicine.

David earned his master's degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland at Baltimore and a bachelor of science degree in biology from Salisbury State University. He is also a certified athletic trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.

Prior to joining Maryland SportsCare & Rehab, David worked four years at an outpatient orthopedic clinic in Carroll County, Maryland as both physical therapist and clinic director. He also works with athletic programs at Western Maryland College, McDaniel College and Baltimore City Community College where he provides rehabilitation, pre-game routines and sideline coverage for all sports.
